MOGADISHU (Somaliguardian) – The United Nations Security Council condemned “in the strongest terms” attacks by Al-Qaeda-linked militant group Al-Shabaab on a base in Mogadishu housing foreign diplomatic missions and Hirshabelle presidential complex in Baladweyne on Wednesday.

“The members of the Security Council expressed their deepest sympathy and condolences to the families of the victims and to the Government of Somalia and wished a speedy and full recovery to those injured,” UN Security Council said in a statement issued on Thursday.
